Matlock Town Council are consutees in the planning process. Council representations, once decided, are sent to Derbyshire Dales District Council within their consultation deadline, who make the final decision.
How does the Town Council deal with planning consultations?
Local Planning applications are delegated to the Clerk who consults ward members prior to sending representations to Derbyshire Dales District Council. Ward members may elect to discuss any applications at full Council should they wish.
A planning list is displayed weekly on the Imperial Rooms noticeboard outside the building.
Where can I find decisions made on planning applications?
The Council are also notified of decisions made by Derbyshire Dales District Council and this, and the decisions on delegated planning made by Town Council ward members, is reported to the Town Council at their meeting on the third Monday of each month.
