Cate is a Town and District Councillor who was born in Bonsall and moved to Matlock at the age of 7 years, she is married to Barry who is also a Town and District Councillor and they have two sons who both live in Matlock.

Cate works as a Pharmacy Dispenser at a surgery just outside of Matlock.

As a previous Mayor in 2008/2009 Cate was and still is actively involved with the community and business people of Matlock. In 2009 her involvement with the Army Cadets saw the introduction of a Mayor’s Cadet and still supports the young people of our Town.

Hobbies: enjoys walking, reading, crosswords and cooking, and being with family and friends who are always important to her.

Cate says: 'I feel very passionate about Matlock and it’s people and will do my utmost a s a local person to support the Town and carry on being actively involved with the community and it’s young people. I always encourage people to voice their concerns, issues or ideas, the Town is at last moving forward to an exciting new phase.'
