Council meetings
The Council meets on the first and third Monday of each month, however bank holidays preclude the first meeting in some months. The Council does not meet on the third Monday in August or the first Monday in January.

Rooms for Hire
Located in the centre of Matlock, the Imperial Rooms, built in 1912 as a United Methodist Free Church, makes an ideal venue in which to hold your event. Please contact us for availability and hire charges.
The smaller of our two halls, this room is licenced to hold 100. It will comfortably accommodate 50 people, theatre style with a top table and has a small kitchen attached.
The large hall in the Imperial Rooms will comfortably accommodate 150 people, theatre style. It has a small stage and kitchen area and is licensed to hold 300 people.
The foyer is central to the building and links both halls. It forms the main reception area for the Town Council.
A small meeting room is also available for hire which is located to one side of the large hall. It can accomodate a maximum of 6 people.
